Please understand that there may be changes in governed restrictions as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic. If the tournament has to be cancelled for circumstances beyond our control, your ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED and will be donated directly to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Teams may consist of six to ten people and must submit payment with entry form. Make checks payable to Northwest Louisiana St. Jude Classic. Non-playing (social) guest fee $60.00. All net proceeds will benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. The event includes meals, beer, goodie bag and a minimum THREE MATCH GUARANTEE for players! Limited to the first 300 players. We will kick things off with registration and tennis play on Friday afternoon. Please join us to make this event successful by putting together a mixed doubles team for this tournament!
Tennis Divisions:
Teams will compete as three mixed doubles pairs. Mixed levels are: 5.5, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 & 9.0+. Three matches will be guaranteed to each team with additional matches possible in championship rounds. Most recent ratings will be used. Match play begins Friday night at 5:30 p.m., twice Saturday and championship rounds on Sunday. Entries limited! Players can only play on one team.
Deadline To Register:
September 11th. All subs must be signed up prior to deadline at high noon. A team captain’s e-mail address must be on form and tournament communications will be made exclusively to the captain whose obligation is to pass them on to his/her team.
Entry Fee:
Register before September 1st and entry fee is $100.00 a person. If you register between September 1st and September 11th it is $125.00 a person. Deadline to register is September 11th. Non-playing social guest fee is $60.00. Teams may consist of six to ten people. Teams must submit payment with entry form whether it’s online or via mail. Special Events:
Refreshments all weekend. Raffle tickets will be sold prior to and during the tournament. Raffle draw will be Sunday at noon & winners need not be present to win.

Lets:
Lets will be available for purchase at $5 a piece. Use of lets is limited to one per set, NOT INCLUDING the third set tiebreaker.
Eligibility:
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to reclassify or refuse any entrant. All players must have an NTRP rating, be rated by the Tennis Director prior to play, or place themselves in jeopardy of being disqualified from play. Stevie Schmidt and Edmund Brown will be the tournament directors.
Rules of Play:
All tournament procedures will be governed by the USTA. Best 2 out of 3 sets, with the third set being decided by a 10-point tiebreaker during preliminary matches. During Championship rounds, regular scoring in all three sets may be used. Inclement weather may result in the use of no-ad scoring, pro-sets or cancellations. Events with less than 4 entrants may be combined or canceled. The tournament director may serve as referee. If entire event cancelled due to weather, all proceeds will be donated to St. Jude.
